Sara P. Gartland is a Georgia State licensed massage therapist who specializes in deep tissue, medical and prenatal massage. She is also a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association and a labor support doula.Her lifelong fascination with the body and movement led her to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from Wright State University. She went on to graduate from the Swedish Institute in New York City with an Associates of Occupational Studies degree in Massage Therapy, specializing in Eastern Modalities. Sara later apprenticed and taught Shiatsu at the Swedish Institute and supervised off-site clinical internships.She is certified in prenatal and postpartum massage and feels a special calling to work with mothers and mothers-to-be. She also holds additional certifications in Lymphatic Drainage Technique and medical massage. Sara worked as a massage therapist in New York City for six years and now lives in Decatur with her beloved husband and three beautiful children.
